Whatcom Falls Wedding in Bellingham, Wa | Kashia and John

Last summer I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding inspiration at one of my favorite places on earth; Washington state. I chose Whatcom Falls in Bellingham, Wa for it's absolute beauty and green and blue color palette. I had gone hiking there several times before, and could think of no place else that I wanted to photograph a gorgeous couple.

Sly Park Falls Wedding in Pollock Pines, Ca | Meghan and Craig

When I came upon Sly Park Falls after a hot, 5 mile hike, I knew that this place was straight out of a fairy tale and the perfect location for wedding portraits. Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains off of Jenkinson Lake in Northern California near Pollock Pines, it is hard to believe this beauty is man-made. At roughly 33 feet high, you would think it would be a popular swimming hole, but the locals have kept it mostly a secret, and the place usually only has a few visitors.

Wedding Anniversary in Grand Canyon National Park, Az | Elizabeth and Caleb

There is nothing I love more than seeing my couples featured on amazing sites like Something Turquoise!

Elizabeth and Caleb have been married for 10 blissful years, having met in high school and just recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary. They had planned on renewing their vows as well as having photos taken to commemorate the occasion, but through unforeseen life circumstances the plans fell through and it was put off. Elizabeth is a local photographer to the Flagstaff area and Caleb is a firefighter, so their schedules allowed for us to make this occasion the something special they both deserved. Lucky for us, the morning of the 25th the Grand Canyon released that the South Rim would be open for visitors and we were greeted with snow capped peaks and 18-degree weather.

This session had the honor of being featured on MountainSide Bride. Go read their story!

It was so much fun getting to photograph Megan and James in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California for their wedding anniversary. We decided to explore the American River and the surrounding forests, a few minutes north of their hometown in Placerville, Ca. It is hard to beat the natural design of the forests of California, and I am so lucky to have gotten to grow up here.

This amazing couple and their wedding advice is featured on Southern California Bride!

Lindsey and Bryan were such a treat to get to spend the evening with for their day after wedding portraits in the beautiful Santa Ynez mountains overlooking Santa Barbara, California at the popular hiking spot aptly named Lizards Mouth Rock. Not only did this married couple hike into the Santa Ynez Mountains, and then change into their wedding attire, they also stayed out way way past dark as we waited for the stars to come out! Santa Barbara, California provided an absolutely incredible view of the far off Santa Barbara skyline for these two, and the picturesque rocks were a perfect combination for their beige wedding attire.
