It felt like the entire world aligned just right for Tia and Mike’s wedding at Victoria in the Park in Mt Prospect, IL. With their ceremony held at St Paul of the Cross in Park Ridge, IL, and portraits taken at the Dominican University in River Forest, IL; it was definitely an adventure! With a color palette of of blushes and champagne, the decor looked straight out of a fairy-tale. Easily one of my favorite moments of the day was watching the two them enter their reception space, and just gasp at the beautiful display that all of their dreaming had created.

But I’m getting ahead of myself! Tia had the chance to get ready at their reception venue, Victoria in the Park, in a dream bridal suite overlooking the activity. Complete with a plethora of full length mirrors, and vanity tables, this Mt Prospect, IL venue definitely has a way of charming their brides. From there we traveled to the picturesque St Paul of the Cross Roman Catholic Parish of the Archdiocese of Chicago in Park Ridge, IL where these finally had the chance to tie the knot. With the absolutely stunning Tia in her Pronovias wedding gown walking down the aisle, tears were to be had by all, including the groom Mike. Like many Chicago weddings, we were lucky to escape the rain, even though it started to drizzle around us.

Tia and Mike chose to do their bridal portraits at the Dominican University in River Forest, IL, and luck was certainly in the air when we arrived to clear skies. Now I may be biased, but their portraits and this location absolutely took my breath away! If every building everywhere could look like this, I would be a happy person. It’s crazy to believe that the stunning architecture featured is where students take their lunch break and go to class, but it is!

After a quick trip back in the party bus, we were greeted with the stunning reception site! Viewed best from the top of their curved sweeping staircase, the reception space is adorned with tiered crystal chandeliers, and two-story, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. It’s easy to see why Mike and Tia gasped when finally able to view their elegant Victoria in the Park wedding masterpiece. It was so much fun getting to photograph their wedding, and it only enhanced my love for all things Chicago!
