Loft Lucia Intimate Wedding in Chicago, IL | Carol and Kevin

Neither Covid, or a rainy Chicago fall day could stop Carol and Kevin from getting married this year. Carol and Kevin were married at an intimate ceremony at Loft Lucia in downtown Chicago, Illinois. When their 150 guest count was brought down to 30, these two focused on a relaxed and intimate wedding vibe. Alas, the only individual missing was their dog Mango, but Carol and Kevin were happy to bring their closest friends and family together for their important day; even if they would rather have stayed out of the lime light. Having not only cut their guest list to legal limits, Carol and Kevin also switched venues to accommodate the reduced guest count, and spaced their table adequately a part so all attendees were comfortable.

It’s hard to have a better meet-cute story, than what Carol and Kevin experienced on their serendipitous first date. After talking online for a brief moment in time, the two ended up at the exact same sports bar, for the same game on the same night- 4 days before they were supposed to meet for their first real date. I’m not saying it was love at first sight, but Kevin definitely proposed via a scavenger hunt at all of their favorite Chicago places not long after.

Loft Lucia right off the right off the West-Loop in Chicago, IL and in full view of the Willis Tower (if you were willing to lean off the balcony a little bit!), is an incredibly intimate and romantic location to get married in the city. With an urban chic vibe, and open terrace rooftop that can be utilized for dancing; this exposed brick building is absolutely a dream for Chicago views and urban wedding vibes.

It has been a weird year for sure, but I am so happy that I was able to witness and capture the beautiful wedding between these two at Loft Lucia. It may not have been the 150 wedding Carol and Kevin originally planned, but nothing could stop them for being married and officially starting their life together.
