Eagle Brook Country Club Wedding in Geneva, IL | Julie and Jon

I absolutely loved photographing the wedding of Julie and Jon, partly for their beautiful locations, but mostly for their beautiful personalities! Their first date was on 12/13/14, and that’s a pretty incredible start to any relationship if you ask me. I had the pleasure of meeting these two before their wedding for their Lincoln Park, Chicago, Il engagement session, and I’m so glad I did. Nothing is better than arriving to a wedding and already knowing the couple, before getting to see them tie the knot.

We started their wedding at the St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Sugar Grove, Il, and their ceremony was tear-worthy- at least that’s what the guests and Jon thought. With their love story, I wouldn’t have expected anything less, “Jon says it was truly love at first sight,” the bride Julie says.

After photographing their ceremony, we took a short drive over to the Fabyan Forest Preserve, and it was definitely worth the drive. This picturesque park was complete with green grass, a river, and even a bridge to match the scenery. We all had a blast taking portraits and bridal party photos, running back to the limo to head to the reception at the Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva, Il just before the rain came in. Schaefer Greenhouses did an incredible job of decorating in their pink and white color palette, and the cake by The Cakery was every bit as delicious as it looked!

If you can’t tell by the photos, DJ Sounds Abound put on a killer set, and this gorgeous couple danced the night away; breaking only for some sparkler photos in the dark. The couple said that the thing they were most excited for was “Celebrating with all our friends and family, all the people we love,” and that is exactly what happened throughout the day, and into the night.
