Hangar 21 South, a wedding venue in Fullerton, Ca opened January 2019, and when Eugenie and Justin booked me for their wedding they were absolutely ecstatic to know that they were going to be one of the first weddings at this beautiful and unique venue. Defining the vibe that they wanted to create, Eugenie said she was aiming for ‘Industrial Chic’, and Grace from Unveiled By Grace did an incredible job of making their dream come true. Pairing navy wraps with an abundance of greenery and white florals, Rogue and Fox Floral was able to capture that quintessential outdoor vibe. Hangar 21 South and their industrial airplane hangar allowed for a beautiful but modern vibe for these two lovebirds!

Justin and Eugenie met in High School back in 2005, and right off the bat experienced a long distance relationship as they pursued career paths across Kansas, Chicago, New York and Washington DC; and along the way they also explored Thailand, Australia, Greece, and got engaged in Hawaii. They knew that an airplane hangar was the perfect location to express their love of travel, as it was at the heart of their relationship.

What I love about their proposal story, is the great lengths that Justin went to to make it special! Eugenie’s Grandmother lives in Hawaii and completed her first marathon at 58 years old. She has finished 13 Honolulu marathons, and inspired Justin and Eugenie to compete in one as well. After running one together, with Justin taking just a bit longer than Eugenie, he proposed to her at the finish line; with her parents already their rooting them on! Eugenie says, “I was in so shock mentally and physically that I didn't grasp what had just occurred right away.”

Eugenie and Justin ended up having what anyone could describe as the perfect wedding. From laughter ensuing first looks to tear jerking vows during the ceremony, they ended the day with a combination of In-N-Out burgers and a dance party that rocked the entire house.
