Do you photograph more than weddings?
Yes! I absolutely love watching my families grow! Whether I meet you through a wedding, a maternity, a newborn session, or just a family session- getting to know my clients is easily the best part of this job! And what better way to get to know someone, then to be there for their milestone events.
Do you travel?
Yes! I absolutely love to travel! I have seen most of the United States, as well as quite a few countries. I treasure any excuse I get to explore somewhere new. Currently I am based out of both Santa Barbara, CA and Seattle, WA, and enjoy going on long extended trips and meeting new people!
What primary photographic style do you identify with?
I am a photojournalist, or a documentarian, or a storyteller. Whatever words floats your boat! I spend the day looking for moments, and capturing them. But, I know how important it is for Great Grandma Jane to have a picture of the entire family smiling, so I am well versed in posing large and small groups alike.
Do we get the digital files? Will they be edited?
Yes and yes! When your session is over you will get all of the best images edited and enhanced to tell the perfect story from your day.
Will our images be available for viewing online?
Yes! All of your images will be available in an online viewing gallery that has the option to be shared to your many friends and family. You also have the option to purchase high quality prints of everything from this same gallery! Also, you’ll be more likely to see you and your soon to be married partner featured in a blog post and a sneak peak by liking my Facebook page. Unless of course you don’t want that, which is an option in my contract if you sign with me!
Can I print my photos?
Each package and session comes with a personal print license. A personal print license is my way of saying that you are allowed to take the images you are given and print them anywhere. I do recommend printing with my preferred lab available through your online viewing gallery, but you have the option to take them elsewhere on your own schedule.
What is the best time of the day to shoot?
I am a wealth of knowledge about your wedding day, or your photo shoot. Portraits and engagements are best shot around dusk, because the light is the prettiest. For your wedding day, there are ideal times for lighting and I absolutely love helping my couples come up with their timeline, so don't worry about that- I will!
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use professional Nikon gear, and have backups upon backups just in case anything happens!

planet earth friendly
I love the outside world. I love hiking through the forest trying not to get lost, and I love taking my couples into that same forest for an adventure they will never forget. Also, who am I kidding, I grew up with Captain Planet telling me to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Some of my favorite memories in my life are ocean kayaking among a pod of dolphins, snorkeling amidst the Great Barrier Reef, and searching for waterfalls in Bellingham. I think it is important for us all to be environmental friendly, and do our part to make sure that other individuals have the same opportunities we have had to enjoy this beautiful planet.
As a photography studio, it is also equally important to me to produce lifelong works of art for you to be able treasure. With this in mind, I have taken a multitude of steps to not only green up my business, but also work with smaller companies to ensure the quality of my products while also keeping the environment in mind.
