It was so much fun getting to photograph Diana and William at the Los Osos Oaks State Reserve in San Luis Obispo, Ca! These two met in SLO, so it only made sense to do their engagement session at some nearby beautiful areas. After photographing in this incredible forest, we went to the Montaña de Oro State Park beach for sunset, and had the chance to play in the waves!

Angelina and Jordan knew each other through their families, and played together on the very same ranch that Jordan proposed on 20 years later. What makes all of this even more special, is that Angelina is also a photographer! I absolutely love getting to photograph other photographer’s and it is easy to say that my little photographer heart soured pretty high as we explored their gorgeous property. It was also only fitting that we included their gorgeous puppy Asher in their engagement photos, as he was there for the proposal.

This was Kassidy and Andrew’s dream engagement session, and I have to say that it’s pretty much mine as well. We met at the nearby La Brea Tar Pits park, as it is next door to their favorite pizza place: Apollonia's Pizzeria! The people at Apollonia's Pizzeria were even nice enough to create a pineapple heart, and for all you haters; yes, pineapple does belong on pizza.

We decided on Millennium Park in the heart of the city, as the two live downtown- and absolutely love all of the picturesque architecture. As unpredictable as the weather in Chicago is, we were super lucky to get a clear winter day with the sun peaking through the buildings. Also as popular as this spot is for weddings, we were blessed to get to spend it alone. These two lovebirds were an absolute treat to get to spend the afternoon with, and I cannot imagine a more gorgeous couple to get to tie the knot together.

Diana is the most incredible map sleuth, and found not only an amazing forest to shoot at, but also the most stunning beach I’ve ever seen. We started at Los Osos Oaks State Reserve jumping near trees and around the occasional slab of poison oak, and moved onto the Montaña de Oro State Park. The whole session was such a dream and their love shown through with every image and cuddle.

The pine trees and mountainous background were a beautiful contrast to their High Sierra Iris & Wedding Gardens wedding that will be happening next spring. Joey and Nathan were an absolute treat to get to photograph, full of smiles and giggles the entire time and I am so excited to get celebrate their wedding in 2017.

It may have taken a 6 hour drive to Sacramento, and an hour and a half drive to Truckee, Ca to find snow, but by gosh I found it! Nothing is sweeter than photographing a couples engagement photos in the same place that the proposal happened, and I was blessed with that opportunity with Michael and Marlee. After proposing at their family cabin in Truckee several months prior, we journeyed back to the same spot, and the same tree, to snuggle in the snow before their wedding in March at the Vizcaya in Sacramento, Ca.

This amazing engagement session was a combination of sweet and adventure, and I was so blessed to get to spend it with these two lovebirds! Jonathan proposed to the gorgeous Megan in a coffee shop, so it only made since to start their engagement session at one as well. Sadly, their special coffee shop isn't as located as close to a beautiful beach as Lucky Llama Coffee House in Carpinteria, CA, so we instead got to experience firsthand their rustic patio and fantastic latte art.

Placerita Canyon State Park, CA delivered beyond my little photographer's most wildest dreams. Not only that, but Katie and Brian brought along their gorgeous rescued Siberian Husky Dakota. We were able to wander among this hiking path and find some pretty amazing spots, even if Dakota was more interested in the squirrels than us!

These two not only have a history of dates, hikes, and memories at this beautiful location- they also shared that it was the location of several scenes of filming for Star Wars! With this tiny piece of information, I was absolutely sold.

Traffic was a little crazy, but we arrived just in time to be encompassed by a gorgeous sunset at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, Ca. From the sweet touches, to the constant giggles- photographing these lovebirds was a breeze. Since Dwight grew up in this amazing area, they have chosen the stunning and historical Bard Mansion in Port Hueneme to tie the knot next January, and I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of their momentous day.

You never know how awesome people are going to be until they show up to their family photography session with a 1972 VW Kombi named Seagull and a 5 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd named Knox. These particular two awesome people go by the names of Kristen and Gavin, and have been married since 2013. Both originally from Denver, Colorado, these two turned a long distance relationship quickly into a life now lived in Ventura, California. Kristen was still in Colorado, and Gavin had moved to California, and a spontaneous decision in 2007 brought them to the city they live in now.
I am so in love with Ronny and Lisa, and their perfect pup! We had the chance to celebrate their engagement session in the same place they are getting married October 10th; Ventura, California! We started at the Ventura County Courthouse and ended at the Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, California for an incredible sunset. Stay tuned for pictures from their upcoming wedding at the Ventura County Courthouse and Museum of Ventura County, and so many congratulations to these two amazing people.

Sean and Lisa are such an absolutely amazing couple, and I had the pleasure of getting to spend the evening with them in Santa Barbara, California for their engagement session. They met through competing in triathlons, and the entire session was filled with giggling, running, and joking that they wish they had bikes. Their love was so completely genuine, that the moments flew by and culling down their pictures was an absolute feat! From exploring El Capitan Canyon to sunset on Refugio State Beach, the golden light we encountered was a perfect reflection of the brightness and joy of their relationship!
